1.1 Background
CSR and its applications in relation, This research will demonstrate the importance of CSR and its applications in relation to o the oil and gas companies such as Royal Dutch Shell , As they play an important role and among the influence-holders in both context current society and the international trade markets. For establishing the relevant background and context on this subject some key studies, researches and papers are very necessary for getting help , CSR and its applications in relation which are linked to various characteristics of corporate social responsibility, the nature of relationships and links among the strategies and importance of CSR as well as their implementation of application towards the oil and gas companies.
A study by Spence (2011) establishes a relationship between CSR and risk of reputation of the company in oil and gas sector was selected as the main source (Musa et al., 2013). This study has emphasized different features of the CSR in the sector of oil & gas and has identified the influences of growing social awareness and the role of any non-government organization (NGO). Likewise, CSR and its applications in relation another study by Bonner & Friedman (2012) was consulted for understanding the developments, measurements and reporting of the result of CSR initiative in corporate environment (Anon, 2015).Furthermore , In connection to implementation of Corporate social responsibility in this sector , the Frynas (2009) arguments were studied which demonstrates detailed debate on this issue and connection of a society with business in terms of development, governance and environment (Frynas, 2009).
Besides all the above arguments , for the development of a assumptions and facts upon the weakness and limitation in the corporate social responsibility and its strategies in the oil and gas sector , the study by Skjærseth Et al. (2004) is explored in details (Narwal and Singh, 2013). Likewise, towards the development of an outlook on the environmental contemporary scope and nature of CSR, the literature of Lydenberg & Wood (2010) was referred which mainly works to simplify the issues that were reported on by any company.
2.3 Introduction to corporate social responsibility
The existing structure of CSR is different than as was actually perceived by the academic thinkers and scholars through the era of 1950s to 1960s. The modern outlook of CSR is the result of great efforts by researchers in the every possible dimension of the notion. For example, It was indicated that the formation of the Concept of Corporate Social Performance by Bryan Husted according to which the social presentation of any company is the result of the relationship between social issue and its proper business strategic and structural response, this result leads to a contemplation to the concepts like the management of conflicts , CSR and its applications in relation corporate social responsiveness and stakeholder management (Husted & Allen 2006).
The most important step is implementing the Operation of the CSR according to concept of Corporate Social and thus measures companies performance . According to the opinion of Husted (2000) in this regard, CSR and its applications in relation it is important for promotion and development to involve business management themes along with the overall strategies of CSR.
