The Internet after its arrival has completely revolutionized every industry of the world. It has even altered the way people buy goods and services. The internet has given birth to electronic commerce also known as e-commerce. Through this, the internet has not only changed the world but also has facilitated it in into becoming a global village. Due to e-commerce, no geographical barriers exist in the world due to which anyone can purchase anything from any place around the globe. Also, because of the introduction of e-commerce, there are a large number of choices available for consumers. This means that the suppliers will have to make the cost of their products less due to the high competition. E-commerce has facilitated both the consumers and the suppliers. The suppliers now have a chance of identifying their market easily through various technological means due to online shopping thus it becomes easier for them to identify their target market and advertise to them. Also, they pay much less advertising costs. Even though there a dozen other advantages present for consumers and suppliers working on an e-commerce platform but there are still several industries who do not risk working in e-commerce. The automobile industry is one of such example industries. Several laws and legislatures are used to ban certain industries in order to prohibit the online sale of products[1]. The reason why those products are banned from buying or selling online is due to the security reasons of the consumer. The mainconcern is to protect the rights and safety of theconsumer. [2]It is believed that if legislation is not altered then the e-commerce business will not thrive in the industry and will face a quick demise to it.[3]

Review:

This is an article which discusses how e-commerce has provided the customers with a key to use their customers according to their advantage. On the one hand that it has facilitated the world but on the other hand, the world has become confused over encryption and decryption. This confusion is to be eradicated through the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act which was approved by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws.

The purpose of this act was to give equivalent importance to electronic signatures as much as it gives to written ones. But regrettably, it failed to do so. The act isn’t able to protect the poor consumers. Whenever a person updates their computer, they’d completely lose their previous data and hence a document of information in such case would prove to be more effective.

Notices which consumers may receive by their e-commerce companies through email might not be taken seriously or may accidently be overlooked or deleted hence making it completely useless. Therefore, it is important that the act is modified correctly. One of the examples given in this article is that the act should only be valid for electronic dealings. Moreover, sent and received should be defined sharply and strictly so that they cannot be changed multiple times and hence cause problems later.

This article highlights a much important issue; currently, there aren’t enough laws to protect the consumers of commerce and the acts and regulations that are being imposed need to be done in such a way that they actually cater the need instead of complicating it further. The article also specifies the techniques that maybe used in order to make on act work better.

Review:

This article discusses the protection of e-commerce rules in China and Europe. There is a comparison of the techniques used by these two different countries. It initiates by providing what techniques are being utilized in order to accomplish this task. It analyzes the legal system in Europe for trade. It also analyzes the market and industry of China under the strict administration of government’s laws and rules.

There are no defined rules for e-commerce in the European Unionso the EU utilizes the rules for member States institutions. This paper discusses how the protection of data is very important and that there are many techniques that exist which can be done in order to protect e-commerce from malicious attacks from outsiders. While highlighting the differences, the paper also highlights that these techniques are also quite similar to one another in many ways. A hybrid approach of protecting the markets exists in Europe.

Ecommerce: Both governmental and powerful private authorities in Europe analyze any wrongdoing in the market. They do this because no structure of protection is present there on a bigger scale, therefore, forcing them to protect the weaker consumers of e-commerce in this way. On the other hand, China has e-commerce protection a state policy. It cannot be enforced on an individual basis.

Any mistake on their behalf may cost them a large market segment. But it can be easily said that the Chinese have started implementing some of the individual security in their system and have started adapting the European method for security. And now with the increase in the security issues and threats all across the globe, European nations have recognized the need to have a more structured and authoritative system present…………..continued
