Essay on Royal armouries: The selected project case study is the Royal Armouries. The Royal Armouries is one of the oldest national museums of arms and armour in the United Kingdom; it is one of the oldest museums in the world. It contains one of the largest collections of arms and armour in the world, comprising of UK’s National Collection of Arms and Armour, National Artillery Collection, and National firearm Collection.

The Royal armouries project dates back to almost two decades. The British government needed to relocate the collection of arms held in the Tower of London, Essay on Royal armouries which is an impressive place, however government needed something to display the treasure of arms and armour. Thus, a huge purpose-built museum was created in Leeds, and the new Royal Armouries building was opened to public in 1996.

In order to understand the impact of museums it is important to understand the functions of museums and different projects. The Royal armouries contain weapons and armouries of different sorts; however the cultural impact of the project is not usually described. The intended benefit of the project is to identity the cultural impact of the project, to promote an interest in history and to show how the management run project and addresses following matters; addressing marginalisation, developing institutional interests, the structure of authority, values, encouraging community engagement, achieving institutional interests and creation associations and identities…..
