Introduction

The primary purpose of this report is to develop critical analysis skills by analyzing different tasks from the view of future leaders and professionals. The report is primarily divided into three tasks and each task is analysed in a detailed manner and critically.

The tasks selected for this report include international readiness check, Critical review and reflection about a self-initiated learning and development process and Reflection and Analysis regarding the successful learning strategies.

The analysis is carried out by the study and application of different theories wherever possible.

Task 1:International Readiness Check:

Global Mindful Strategies. According to Brinkmann and van Weerdenburg (2014),the Intercultural Readiness Check also known as IRC is one of those leading tools for evaluating intercultural proficiency. The IRC is also one of those few tools to test reliability and validity.

The IRC is in an ideal world suitable for intercultural training, coaching, expat briefings and bench marking across various industries. In other words it is used my multinational companies and organizations to train their senior executives, but usually used by those companies who have multinational staff or customers.

Currently, many people around the globe have used the IRC to become more effective when working with clients, colleagues, and partners from different cultures other than their own.

Intercultural Sensitivity

As stated by Penbek, Yurdakul Şahin and Cerit (2012),intercultural sensitivity means the degree to which a person takes an active or keen interest in other persons, their cultural background, needs and perspectives.

Intercultural sensitivity is all about leading towards immediate recognition of cultural different behavior along with gaining help to generate identification during intercultural encounters. Furthermore, it leads the individuals towards asking clarification and authenticating cultural misunderstandings.

It is usually focused on the individual level along with Intercultural sensitivity creates common beneficial personal relationships.Global Mindful Strategies

 The Intercultural sensitivity assesses the extent to which an individual is interested in others. With a low score for the facet of cultural awareness, the feedback that I receive is that currently I am unable to fully recognize the cultural perspectives related to other individuals.

To a large extent I agree with this feedback as in spite of my constant efforts, I am unable to understand the cultural values and expectation of others. One of the main reasons for the decline in the score of cultural awareness is getting too judgmental about the regarding the attitude of the other individuals.

The other aspect of the intercultural sensitivity is related to attention to signals. I tend to agree with this observation as I was unable to pay appropriate attention towards the non-verbal signals etc.

Apart from that it has also been indicated that I was unable to understand and analyze the feelings of the individuals about my way of communication
