Leadership Project
The report revolves around the term of “Leadership and different styles of leadership”. The primary purpose of this report is to critically analyse problems and challenges of leadership, different styles of leadership and its impact on the performance of the employees or subordinates. The tool that is used to evaluate different styles of leadership and different leadership theories is Seven Leadership Mindset Theory.
Yang et al. (2011) defined leadership as the process of motivating or leading a group of people towards the achievement of the mutual objective. Leaders are also responsible to keep their followers motivated in the complete process of goals achievement. According to Yukl (2012), the collective efforts of leader and his followers are very important for the achievement of the overall organisational goals.
Leadership Project The leader should critically evaluate his own behaviour and also the behaviour of his followers/subordinates and prepare a plan for the required change in behaviour based on the nature of the mutual objectives. Different types of leadership are present whereas the leader should adopt the specific style of leadership according to the requirement of the different situations. The report also includes the process of identifying own leadership skills and the different leadership mindsets present in the organisation. The report will also include Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Identification of Leadership Mind-sets
The three main elements that are used in defining the value system of each leader’s mindset discussed in Seven Leadership Mindset Theory are Life conditions, Human adaptations and Socio- Cultural environment of the leader. Every mindset of leader differs on the basis of these 3 elements of value system. In the studied organisation, different individuals from different cultural backgrounds are present. According to the seven leadership mindset theory, different types of leadership are present that include Life support, Tribal, Small boss, Bureaucrat, Entrepreneurial, Equal and Process Leadership Project.
Leadership Project Within the organisation, different types of leaders are present that follow different leadership styles or leadership mind-sets. The identification of the different leadership mindset is based on the personal observation. On the basis of the observation, the different leadership mindset is present in the organisation that includes the leaders following different leadership styles including autocratic leadership, laissez-faire leadership, strategic leadership, transformational leadership, transactional leadership and charismatic leadership.
Different pieces of evidence of leadership mindsets were seen in the different leaders of the organisation. This evidence are based on the evaluation of the research studies focusing on different leadership style traits and behaviours.

Examples of Leadership Traits
Richtel and Chen (2014) stated that the leadership styles of Tim Cook- CEO Apple Inc. is democratic and participative whereas the leadership style of Steve Jobs was autocratic in nature. The leaders that were observed as autocratic leaders in the organisation are keen on dictating their ways of doing things to others whereas the transformational leaders in the organisation participate in the work with employees.
The Laissez Faire leader observed in the organisation is the one who has most skilled and experienced workforce and that’s why he focuses on Laissez Faire leadership. The transactional leader in the organisation normally focuses more on the deadlines of the work. The observed charismatic leader in the organisation attracts followers by being their role model. The observed strategic leader is basically the CEO of the organisation that focuses on motivating employees to work for the betterment of the organisation
