This report aims to carry out an analysis of leading and managing people in organizations. The area of focus, in this research, is a team working. The importance of leading and managing people in a group cannot be ignored in the current business environment. The team working is one of the most critical areas of business management that allows managers to improve the productivity of the workforce.
The understanding of topics such as teamwork, flexibility, psychological contract and the other regions related to leading and managing people is essential for managers because of several reasons. First of all, the understanding allows managers to develop appropriate strategies for improving the motivation of workforce. In addition to this, the increased awareness of managers about these factors helps in increasing the retention of the workforce. One of the critical factors associated with leading and managing change is teamwork. The understanding of collaboration is essential for managers to devise strategies that improve employees’ productivity.
2.0 Discussion
According to Richards, Chillas, and Marks (2012), in the current era, teamwork plays a vital role in organizations. In organizations, teams play an essential role in the attainment of organizational goals and objectives. Collaboration has a necessary impact on the performance of an organization. The managers have now recognized the significance of cooperation in groups. Berlin, Carlström, and Sandberg (2012) explained that the teamwork has a direct impact on the performance of employees since it increases collaboration.
The support of managers is critical in promoting cooperation. In the business world, the managers are assigning projects to the teams of employees. It has resulted in providing opportunities for employees to strengthen their skills and knowledge. The research has suggested that employees working in groups produce more output than individual employees (Prasad, DeRosa and Beyerlein, 2017).
