Introduction and Objectives
Charity has always been an essential source for needy people in many societies around the world. More than 50 percent of world’s population is dependent on charities and increasing inflation over the period is causing more problems for the needy families, individuals and many other etc. Dar Al Atta ‘A, is one of the nonprofit volunteer based charity that serves millions of people in the Sultanate of Oman. It was formed in 2002 and formally registered in the Ministry of Social Development in 2006. The charity believes in, “A better Life for everyone.”
Project Management In this research paper or project plan we want to highlight and build an effective road map that will help us in raising funds for a charity. Since the nonprofit organization is looking to build “Dar Al Atta’a Centre to guarantee efficiency and professionalism” and,” To build 15 new houses every year”. Considering the two main challenges till 2020, the organization requires funding in order to serve humanity and achieve its vision i.e. a better life for everyone. Every small nonprofit organization such as schools, community organizations, universities, colleges, NGOs and social services agencies may face some development challenges at initial stage of the program. There are many ways to raise funds for charities such as, fashion shows, Gala Events, Sports Tournaments, social Media and many other platforms.
Importance of Different Teams:
As mentioned earlier, fashion shows, Gala Events & Sports Tournaments are considered to be critical platforms from where a charity can raise fund easily. In order to manage such platforms, following team play an important role:
- Marketing: Just like a new product or services, your event need to properly market to your targeted population. It is the responsibility of marketing people to convince your supports and donors that their money is worth it for the society and need people. This can be accomplished via direct mails, phone banks, word of mouth and many social media platform.
- Sales: Once the marketing is done, now it comes to sales people to sell the tickets in an effective way to capture more revenue. Such techniques should not include deceptive marketing or riba based methodologies. The tickets can be further differentiated in different categories such as VIP people, very VIP or local customers to make more revenue….
