Lots of definitions are proposed about operation management by many of the scientist and researcher along the span of time. However, if we analyze the word ourselves it do give the idea about the managing or administrating the activities, and when it is said in context of businesses it is referred as business operation management. But in actual operation management is involved in our everyday life. From morning, wake up till the time we reach to bed in night we are all performing certain process and by the end of night while deciding our schedule for next day we are basically doing operation management in order to keep running our life smoothly. The question arises for why we are required to do so and the answer is pretty clear in our example of everyday life, to run the process smoothly, hassle free which would lead to efficiency and effectiveness and in business world summarize to low cost and higher profits.
