Introduction

The basic aim of the project is concerned with the description and thorough analysis about the flaws and the defects that are associated with the SAP project at Npower. The arguments that have been presented in this report also include major reasons behind the initiation of the SAP project apart from causes of the defects in the SAP project of Npower.

Along with that, recommendations have also been presented with respect to the ways in which flaws and defects can be eradicated within the system and improvements can be incorporated to increase the overall efficiency of SAP project of Npower.

Background of the Organization

Npower is considered as one of the leading companies around the Project Management UK that has been operating in the energy sector. The main aim of the organization is to provide energy related facilities to its customers across the UK.

The organization plays an important role in fulfillment of the large number of individuals in the UK which is evident from the fact that it has been currently serving 5.1 million residential as well as business units with consistent supply of electricity and gas (Npower, 2016).

The rationale behind the selection of this organization is that it is one of the biggest oil and gas providers in the UK; therefore, the processes and the procedures that it will be adopting would be of considerable importance for the millions of consumers that are dependent upon the organization for the fulfillment of its requirements in terms of electricity and gas. Moreover, the justification for this project can also be related to the fact that Npower was involved in carrying out a large scale project by the name of SAP which was based on providing valuable experience to the customers.
