Strategic, Commercial and Financial Analysis of a FTSE 250 Listed Company:As prescribed by Canadean (2015), Safe Store Holdings PLC is the leading self-storage provider in the UK and also second largest self-storage provider in the entire Europe. The company provides self-storage and related services to both household and businesses. The business was found in 1998, and it is headquartered in Borehamwood, UK. It was initially listed on alternative investment markets. However, a management buyout worth £39.8 million led by, Chief Executive, Steve Williams resulted in the delisting of business from the alternative investment markets. Then, the company also acquired few small competitors including Mentmore PLC in 2004. Most of the company’s operations are in the UK as only a small part of operations come from other European Union Countries including France. The Company has reported healthy financial performance over the last few years. The Safe Store Holdings PLC recorded a sales growth of 7% in the year 2015 with total turnover amounting to $164 million (Safe Store Holdings PLC, 2015). The company operates with a total of 97 stores including 24 wholly owned stores in the Paris, France. The company operates in the storage industry and is one of the constituents of FTSE 250 index. The constituency in FTSE-250 index means that the company’s market capitalization is among the top 250 companies listed on London Stock Exchange (Canadean, 2015).
