INTRODUCTION

To run the organization smoothly we need to have a strong backbone structure, which, if found faulty, could lead to the destruction and failure. One primary fragment of the backbone of the organization is its Organizational Behaviour that determines how an organizational structure is compatible with the human behavior, as in individual and within group dynamics (Robbins, 2001).

The cultureof the company or corporate culture is mainly focused upon in this study because of its highest importance in shaping how a company would behave.Analyzing and Characterizing the work culture and the behavioral ramifications it implants hierarchically in an organization is also a focal point in organizational behavior (Buss, Abott, et al1990).

I have chosen Qatar Airways as my organization about which I am presenting my study of the cultural impact on the organizational behavior of the mentioned organization to critically analyze the impact of diverse and multi-cultural organizational behavior of Qatar Airways. An organization which belongs from the Middle-East region of the world and caters to a wide variety of the customers from around the world by providing them Airlines facility with five-star customer services offers me a deep insight to the dealing with a diverse group of people with Cross-Cultural Leadership style. It is one of the best airlines in the present world which offers royal treatment to the dignitaries and royalties around the world and to the royal family of its mother country. It has over 40,000 employees currently working for the company. Qatar Airways faces a lot of diversity related issues such as ethnic differences and festivities, yet they deal with this great efficiency.

UNDERSTANDING THE CULTURE OF QATAR AIRWAYS

Qatar Airways started as a small company and today, after the CEO Albaker took the reins in his hands in November 1996, it is one of the leading aviation companies in the world providing innovative and novel services with a signature Qatar Airways style. By studying the management culture of the Qatar Airways, my finding depicts that it is a mix of the rational and cultural management, though more inclined towards cultural management. Being an airline industry, they have to deal with all ethnicities of the world, hire people from all languages, and cater different ethical and business needs around the world. They make sure that the mission and vision of the company are well understood and absorbed into each employee on a daily basis. Employees control themselves through shared beliefs and values. They have a goal oriented approach and targets and management incorporates each and every employee to part take in achieving whatever goals the company is targeting(Fewster et al.,2002).Qatar Airway

Being a Middle Eastern company the majority of Cabin Crew are female from countries as China, Korean, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Pakistan, Morocco, Centre African Countries and few from European countries facing economic crisis, they have met many constraints religiously, politically, culturally, traditionally, yet the leaders knew that if they had made their company globally viable and up to the international standards, they would have to opt for a middle ground which is acceptable locally as well as, internationally (Geert, 1984).

According to the Deal and Kennedy’s typology, which states that the culture of the organization is the artifact of the environment, they function in. Particularly, the amount of risk key activities carries and the speed of the feedback that workers receive, all comprises of this typology (Deal and Kennedy, 1982). The same organizational structure applies in Qatar Airways, as they are the service providing company, instant feedback and instant problem-solving capabilities is the must have skill………………………..continued
