Understanding Systems: The publishing sector has been chosen for the assignment. I have picked the publishing sector because I have a deep interest in reading books and the publishing sector has everything to do with books and authors who come up with amazing stories that intrigue people. A book publishing company works hard going through various manuscripts and presenting the best of the best to the people in the form of a complete book. Working in a publishing sector would be a dream come true for me as I love reading.

The assignment will focus on the work of Penguin international publishers. This specific publishing agency has published one of the best fictions around the world. They have given opportunities to writers from various backgrounds and different countries introducing a variety of stories and writing styles in different genres.

Understanding Systems: Penguin publishing group is known to be the largest division of penguin random house. The company was first formed in UK in 1935 by Allen Lane and after four years they opened a branch in the US by the name Penguin Books Ltd. Penguin publishing group publishes stories for children and adults. They believe in giving opportunities to young and new writers.

The sub system

There are various sub systems at work in helping the publishing company work smoothly and thrive. The staff is appointed according to their respective fields in the departments where they can work for the company.

The publishing group is divided into many sub sections and different zones. Every zone has its own management system although they are affiliated with the group and work under it as a whole they still have their separate zonal CEO’s that handle and manage the work in their regions.

The publishing group has a subsection for different kinds of publishing. They publish books for different age groups and different genres and every kind of book has to be sorted out into a different publishing sector. These sectors are divided into children books
