Introduction

Data Analysis :The purpose of the assignment is to analyze the given data using SPSS software. The researcher in the study wants to examine whether 4.8 km jogging since last eight weeks has increased the power of aerobics in 11-12-year-old girls or not. For the purpose of research, the data for pre training and post training aerobic powers have been collected and analyzed. Different test conducted in the research include descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test and test for normality.

Research Question

What is the effect of 4.8 km jogging on the aerobic power of 11-12-year-old girls?

Research Variables

Only two variables are included in the research known as pre-training aerobic power and post training aerobic power. The sample size of the study is 20.

Research Hypothesis

H0: There is no significant difference in the mean aerobic training power of post training and pre-training girls.

As an alternative to this null hypothesis, the following one-tailed experimental hypothesis was postulated

H1: There is a significant difference in the mean aerobic training power of post training and pre-training girls.

Descriptive Statistics

Table 1: Descriptive Statistics

The table above has shown the mean results of the post training and pre-training aerobic powers. From the results depicted above, it can be inferred that the mean of post training girls is relatively higher than the mean of pre-training girls. Therefore, it can be stated that the aerobic power has increased in the girls after training. The results have also shown that the minimum value of the per-training girls have appeared to be 2.97, whereas, post training has appeared to be 4.05. In the same manner, the maximum value of pre-training girls has appeared to be 9.09, whereas, post-training is 8.82. Similarly, it can also be observed from the table that the standard deviation has appeared to be 1.68 in pre-training girls, which shows that the aerobic power of girls before receiving training has fluctuated highly. While on the other hand, the standard deviation of the post training girls has not fluctuated significantly.
